Integra & Office Brands Form Strategic Alliance

Integra Office Solutions and Office Brands are delighted to announce the formation of a strategic alliance that will see both businesses working closely together to further strengthen their positions within the UK and Australian OP sector.

The two groups are already closely aligned through their members of BPGI which presents many benefits to both organisations from international procurement and buying power, based on $15.5 billion turnover in the global products market.

Integra is the leading dealer group in the UK with 250 members and combined revenues of over £500million whilst Office Brands is Australia’s largest independent office products group with over 160 outlets and annual turnover in excess of $380m.

Both groups have a wealth of purchasing and marketing resources together with a shared approach of working with progressive businesses, helping them evolve to meet the ever changing needs of its customers. The groups will be looking closely at future initiatives that will bring benefits to both its members.

The first and most exciting project already underway is the signing of a licensing agreement enabling Office Brands to use registered trademark, Initiative Office Products, within Australia and which will potentially see the Initiative range becoming the groups new own brand in the not so distant future.

Aldan McDonough, Integra’s Managing Director, comments “We are delighted to have formed such an important alliance with Office Brands who we view as an incredibly strong and progressive dealer group. The organisations have many similarities and 1 look forward to working with Gavin and his team over the coming months and years to establish many new joint initiatives.
The Initiative Office Products range has been an incredibly successful brand within the UK and Ireland and we hope to help the team at Office Brands mirror this success in Australia.

BPGI was formed to promote the interests of its member groups and enhance the buying power of the independent office products dealer. This strategic alliance simply underlines the importance of us working together to protect the future interests of the independent dealer.”

Gavin Ward, CEO, Office Brands Ltd, adds “I would like to reiterate the importance of independent dealers working together to future-proof the channel. Under the banner of BPGI, we very much value the opportunity of leveraging on each other’s strengths.

The Initiative Office Products range is an exciting prospect for the group and one which we are currently pursuing. We have signed a 5 year licensing agreement with Integra which will allow us to use the Initiative registered trademark and which will give us access to an award winning own brand and a comprehensive marketing programme that will help our members achieve a point of difference within our crowded market.”
