3M announces new appointment to Board of Directors

3M has announced the election of Neil G. Mitchill Jr. to its Board of Directors as part of its ongoing corporate governance strategy.

Mitchill, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Raytheon Technologies, brings more than 25 years of financial leadership and strategic expertise to 3M’s boardroom.

In addition to joining the board, he has been appointed to both the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee – roles critical to strengthening oversight and guiding the company’s long-term growth.

He will begin his role from 6th February 2026 and his appointment comes as 3M continues to navigate a complex global market, balancing innovation across industries with operational and regulatory challenges.
