3M to open cutting‑edge UK training hub

3M has confirmed plans to establish a 15,250 sq ft Training and Skills Development Centre at MIRA Tech Park in Warwickshire, aiming to strengthen technician training across automotive and industrial sectors

Slated to open in Q1 2026, this state-of-the-art facility will serve 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket and Abrasive Systems Divisions. It is designed to deliver immersive, hands-on training following 3M’s standard operating procedures (SOPs). Attendees will gain advanced expertise in both collision repair -encompassing body repair, paint preparation, application, and refinishing – and industrial abrasives processes, including metal fabrication, fine surface finishing and automation 3M News Centre.
The new skills centre reflects 3M’s commitment to bridging talent gaps in a rapidly evolving collision repair landscape. Trained technicians can help bodyshops achieve greater productivity, faster turnaround, and improved profitability through reduced errors and enhanced efficiency.
