3M starts New Year with sustainability promise

As 2019 gets underway, 3M has pledged it will include a sustainability value commitment in all new products.

3M made the announcement during the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24). The company will set targets for reusability, recyclability as well as energy-saving, because the intention is to become more environmentally aware.

These targets promise to “raise the bar” on the sustainability goals originally set in 2015. However, it is a pledge the company is taking seriously. 3M will be reporting their progress annually and publishing the information on their website.
