Office Brands Confirms Donaghy Membership

Australian office products dealer group Office Brands has confirmed that the businesses of former Office Choice Chairman John Donaghy are joining its ranks.

Donaghy – who owns two dealerships, City Stationery and Discount – announced his departure from Office Choice earlier this year, with his membership of the group expiring on 30 June. It was widely expected that he would join rival group Office Brands, and this has now been confirmed, with his arrival becoming effective on 1 July.

His two locations will trade under the Office National banner within the Office Brands family.

“John has always been an industry-leading figure, and his two stores have been experiencing good growth under his leadership,” said Office Brands CEO Gavin Ward. “It would appear that John had become challenged by the recent direction of the Office Choice group and was keen to embrace the opportunities available through Office Brands.”

Ward added:

“We welcome John and his team and look forward to supporting them, as we do with all members of the Office Brands family. We enjoy John’s passion and enthusiasm and I am sure John will be welcomed by the member group at large.”
