Pentel Raises £750,000 for Prostate Cancer UK

Pentel stationery has marked a major fundraising milestone after raising more than £750,000 for leading men’s health charity Prostate Cancer UK.

The partnership between Pentel and the charity dates back to 2009, when the company first began donating part of the retail price from sales of its stationery products to support efforts against prostate cancer.

While early contributions came from sales of the Linestyle ballpoint pen, the most significant impact has come from the company’s special edition EnerGel Xm Retractable pens. For every one of these white‑barrelled, ultra‑smooth ink pens sold, Pentel donates 25p to Prostate Cancer UK. Over the course of the 17‑year collaboration, more than 3.02 million of these pens have been sold, a figure that would stretch the height of the world’s tallest building more than 529 times if placed end to end.

Prostate Cancer UK uses funds raised by corporate partners like Pentel to support research into earlier diagnosis, provide crucial information about risk and treatment, and deliver professional support to men and their families affected by the disease. Prostate cancer remains the most common cancer among men in the UK, with thousands being diagnosed each year.
