Henkel reports strong start to 2026

German consumer goods giant Henkel has reported a solid start to 2026, posting organic sales growth of 1.7 percent in the first quarter despite ongoing economic uncertainty and weaker consumer spending in parts of Europe.
Growth was driven by both its Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands divisions, with each reporting gains in price and sales volumes. Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies unit benefited from strong demand in mobility and electronics, while its Consumer Brands business was boosted by particularly strong performance in hair care products.
Henkel also confirmed that its €1 billion share buyback programme had been completed at the end of March and maintained its full-year outlook, forecasting organic sales growth of between 1 and 3 percent for 2026.
