Avery reports a Q1 sales increase of 7.7%.
Avery’s sales for the quarter were C$157.6 million (US$117 million), a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. Organic growth was also up 2.8%.
Direct-to-consumer product lines are thought to have contributed to the organic growth as this area also enjoys strong operating margins.
Excluding currency, Avery’s operating profit for the quarter grew 15% year on year to $27.9 million.
