COLOP wins international cooperation award

Stamp manufacturer, COLOP, has won an esteemed award for cross-border cooperation.

COLOP won the Cross Boarder Award 2018 for international cooperation between companies and R&D institutions. It is an annual prize, however, in recent years has been given to a number of well-known companies. This year, COLOP scooped the prize for the successful operation of its subsidiary and second production site, COLOP CZ, in Borovany which employs 160 people.

In 2012, the production site considerably expanded. Two years later, additional production and storage areas followed. These additions created around 1,800 m² of facilities and almost doubled the space of the COLOP subsidiary.

In 1993, COLOP started with a few machines in a simple building, focusing on the production of products whose automation was difficult due to complex manufacturing and low volumes. Today, COLOP is one of Upper Austria’s model companies with an export rate of 98 %.
