Durable implements carbon reduction strategy

In January of this year, DURABLE presented RETHINK, the company’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, which prioritised ways the company can reduce its carbon footprint in the long term.
The RETHINK sustainability concept is the cornerstone of DURABLE’s social and environmental business practices. It consists of four basic pillars: refuse, reuse, reduce and recycle. These serve as concrete guidelines and guarantee sustainable development in all areas of operation.
Measures include implementing changes in DURABLE’s product designs. Also, by collaborating with the logistics company Dachser, two new 42-tonne Volvo FH Electric e-trucks for deliveries between the two DURABLE sites.
“Sustainability is not an isolated issue for us. It’s an integral part of our corporate philosophy. RETHINK means that we have changed our views in all areas of the company for the long term. Switching our method of transportation to environmentally friendly vehicles is a logical and consistent continuation of all our efforts to reduce our CO2 emissions. We are delighted that we have been able to implement this with our longtime partner Dachser,” says DURABLE Managing Director Rolf Schifferens.
