Duracell says don’t make this mistake at Christmas

When the Christmas lights come out, it’s tempting to mix old and new batteries – but Duracell say, don’t do it!

Whether its battery operated fairy lights or children’s toys, mixing old and new batteries in the same device can cause them to rupture or leak, warns battery manufacturer Duracell.

In a recent article online, Duracell stated that damaged batteries can cause fluid spillages. Not only can this cause harm to humans and pets, it can also spoil surfaces, such as tables and carpets.

Duracell recommend the safest thing to do is replace all batteries at the same time for optimum performce.
