European paper and stationery giant Exacompta Clairefontaine has taken over fellow French firm Rainex.
The group has acquired filing products manufacturer Rainex through its Exacompta SAS subsidiary for an undisclosed sum.
Rainex, based near Paris, employs 42 people and has annual sales of around €10.5 million ($12 million). Established in 1959, it mainly makes document sleeves, pockets and wallets. As well as France, it is present in a number of European markets such as the UK, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
Exacompta said the transaction would enable it to strengthen its expertise in the filing category, and that it would maintain the Rainex name.
