Henkel celebrates 150 years by inspiring future STEM talent

Henkel has marked its 150th anniversary by introducing more young people to the world of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) through a special hands-on learning event at its UK headquarters in Hemel Hempstead.

As part of the celebrations, the global adhesives and consumer brands company welcomed more than 50 home-educated students to take part in its internationally recognised Forscherwelt (Researchers’ World) programme. The initiative gives children the opportunity to explore STEM subjects through practical experiments designed to build confidence, curiosity and problem-solving skills.

During the event, students tested adhesive bond strength, created glue sticks and investigated water hardness, gaining first-hand experience of real scientific concepts in an engaging environment.
