Henkel reveals robust q1 performance

Henkel reports strong sales performances, despite the challenging market presented by Covid-19 in the first quarter of 2020.
Despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, sales were only just below the level of the previous year. The decrease was only -0.9 percent on 2019. Group sales also decreased nominally by -0.8 percent to 4.9 billion euros.
Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel said: “As the crisis evolves, we will continue to adapt and respond quickly to changes in our markets. I am convinced that our new strategic framework focusing on purposeful growth positions us well to deal with this difficult situation. We will emerge stronger from the crisis.”
