Henkel donates more than 50,000 litres of disinfectant within one week to critical services to help against the spread of Coronavirus.
As a global leader in adhesive, beauty and laundry care products, Henkel made a commitment to support the fight against Covid-19.
The commitment, called the Solidarity programme, support employees, customers and communities facing the global COVID-19 pandemic. The program includes a 2 million euros donation to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund launched by the WHO and the United Nations Foundation as well as to other organizations, and a donation of 5 million units of personal and household hygiene products.
Henkel has also promised that all products will be given at short notice.Within just one week, the company converted a production facility at its Düsseldorf site and produced the first 25,000 liters of hand disinfectants. Henkel will donate them to surrounding hospitals and public institutions. Next week, the company will continue the production and will produce the same amount of disinfectant.
