MP Andrew Murrison visits Nemo office

The Right Honourable Andrew Murrison MP visited Tech Office in Trowbridge to discuss local business issues as part of the ‘Keep It Local’ campaign.

During the hour-long meeting with Tech Office’s Andrew Walder, they addressed concerns about the disparities in business rates within the area.

Mr. Walder highlighted the inconsistency in rateable values, noting that their 1,922 sq ft town centre unit carries a rateable value of £38,000, while a nearby 4,800 sq ft light industrial unit is valued at just £18,000. He appreciated Dr. Murrison’s attentive approach, stating that the MP’s proactive promotion of Trowbridge aligns with the ‘Keep It Local’ initiative.

During the visit, Dr. Murrison showed support by wearing a ‘Keep It Local’ badge and later shared his positive experience on his Facebook page.
