Newell Brands unites employees worldwide for CommUnity day of service

Newell Brands has brought together its global workforce for a CommUnity Day of Service, a company-wide initiative focused on volunteering and local community support.
Employees across Newell’s international offices took part in a wide range of activities, including food and supply drives, neighbourhood clean-ups, and volunteering at local gardens, shelters, and charitable organisations.
The day is a key part of Newell’s broader community engagement strategy, which includes its Local Impact Grant Programme – now in its sixth year – and a longstanding Matching Gift Programme that supports employee-led giving.
In 2023 alone, Newell contributed £7 million (approx. $9 million) worth of essential goods such as school supplies and baby products to communities in need.
The CommUnity Day follows previous initiatives like CommUnity Week, during which employees volunteered over 1,700 hours globally, supporting educational, environmental, and social projects.
Newell says the initiative reflects its “One Newell” culture – promoting both purpose-driven work and collective social responsibility.
