Stationery and office manufacturer, Pentel, is pressing ahead on a deal with Japanese stationery and furniture giant, Kokuyo.
Earlier in the year, Kokuyo revealed plans to invest $90 million in exchange for an indirect 40% stake in Pentel’s business.
has approved the transfer of all shares held by PI Investment Limited Partnership to fellow Japanese stationery manufacturer Kokuyo.
In August, discussions were still ongoing, but in latest news, Pentel has approved the transfer of all shares to Kokuyo. The two companies also said they have agreed to start discussions to establish a “cooperative relationship”.
