Sofidel’s Sustainability Promise

Sofidel announces a further improvement within the CDP Report 2018 – a measure of business’ environmental impacts.

The Sofidel Group’s award for an A- rating in the Climate Change and Forests Timber is important because of the company’s strategy of sustainability for development and growth. 

The first Italian manufacturing company to join the WWF Climate Savers project was Sofidel. The company has reduced direct emissions of CO₂ into the atmosphere by 20.6%. This is thanks to the use of cogeneration plants and renewable energy sources. The sourcing of certified pulp from independent third parties with forest certification schemes which is now at 100%.
