German stationery manufacturer STAEDTLER Group is restructuring its operations to boost efficiency and competitiveness.
By 2028, the company will consolidate its Sugenheim and Neumarkt plants into its Nuremberg headquarters, creating a single, modernised production hub. All employees from the affected sites will be offered positions in Nuremberg, with discussions underway to ensure a smooth transition.
Alongside the consolidation, STAEDTLER will establish a new production site in Eastern Europe to strengthen its international supply network and address rising competitive pressures. The company says the move balances its long-term commitment to Germany with the need for cost-effective global expansion.
Founded in 1835, STAEDTLER remains one of Germany’s oldest industrial firms and a leading global producer of writing and creative goods, active in more than 150 markets worldwide.
