A number of categories in the annual schools’ competitions have been especially created with an engineering foundation to them, with 10 of the judges this year being engineers or having an engineering background.
There are two competitions for 2018 – one centred on 3M’s Loughborough site and the second on the company’s Bracknell site.
The Loughborough Young Innovators Challenge is being organised in partnership with the Loughborough Learning Alliance and the Loughborough Echo newspaper, with entries open to all Leicestershire and South Nottinghamshire Authority schools, academies and private schools within the local paper’s circulation area.
