Everything is fine for Photoweb. The French number two in online photo printing multisupport announces having achieved, in 2017, a turnover of 42 million euros and a gross operating profit of 9.4 million euros. “Or, says Laurent Boidi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, a doubling of the volume of activity and profitability in four years”.

Four years is indeed the key indicator of Photoweb, after its takeover in January 2014 by the Vosges paper group Exacompta-Clairefontaine, and the acquisition at the end of 2015 of the company Invaders, publisher of the brand Lalalab, European leader of mobile photo printing applications.

“This acquisition, emphasizes Laurent Boidi, apart from its leverage in terms of production and productivity for both entities, has enabled Photoweb to open up internationally, thanks to the presence of Lalalab throughout Europe. Thousands of parcels leave today from the Saint-Égrève factory to Germany and England, ahead of France, Italy and Spain. To give a volume order, we provide 70 million photo prints a year. “
Thanks to this European opening accelerated by Lalalab, the Photoweb group realizes more than a third of its consolidated turnover on the mobile. “This is a huge vector of development, driven by the enthusiasm of younger generations but also by older people who use it more and more, said Lawrence Boidi. The mobile should thus constitute 75% of our activity within four years “.

Photoweb has also accelerated its product diversification, by going beyond the paper photo, the album and the announcement, to offer multisupport prints, on mugs, bowls, magnets, candles, etc. “The trend is in decoration,” says Laurent Boidi. At the end of the year, we will launch products whose text and graphics can be personalized on cushions, sheers, wallpaper … “

“In addition, we will integrate more and more artificial intelligence in our mobile applications and internet platforms to facilitate the creativity of our customers.” Photoweb invests approximately three million euros in hardware and information technology each year.
