3M Partnership to Champion STEM Education in the UK and Ireland for girls

3M has announced its partnership with greenlight for girls (g4g), an international non-profit organisation, dedicated to inspiring girls of all ages and backgrounds to pursue opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

This partnership marks a significant commitment by 3M to advancing STEM education and opportunities for young women in the UK and Ireland throughout 2024 and beyond.

The partnership will kick off with a series of interactive STEM days, where students between 11-15 years connect with mentors, engage in hands-on activities and explore the exciting world of STEM careers. 3M’s STEM ambassadors work with the girls to show that scientists and engineers do not all spend their lives wearing white coats in laboratories. They will demonstrate that many interesting and rewarding careers are open to people with STEM qualifications, to motivate students to choose science, technology, engineering, and maths when the time comes to consider qualifications and careers.
